hogan Industries today ‘switched on’ Heyuan’s 3rd largest solar energy installation at the company’s flagship manufacturing facility, thriving to become a more environmentally-conscious company.
Benjamin Wong, a managing director of hogan Industries, an Asia-based injection molding contract manufacturer (www.hogan.com.hk), producing products and providing repack services for global confectionery, consumer goods, infant and healthcare brands, said “we at hogan industries are committed to finding sustainable energy solutions which improve the quality of our environment for our future generations. We started looking into possible options in 2018, and are happy to start using a renewable energy solution as another source of electricity.” The solar system was installed by and in cooperation with Total-Envision, a subsidiary of Total Solar, with the mission to deliver decarbonated, decentralized and digitalized energy solutions to B2B clients in China.
Kevin Ma, Director and Head of Production, explains, “With this investment, renewable energy will now replace 10% of conventional energy use at the factory, reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) by approximately 2,000 metric tons per year, equivalent to power more than 700 apartments for an entire year, or 255 million of charged smartphones.” hogan Industries is excited to be able to contribute to the world’s transition to sustainable energy, and is committed to look for additional renewable energy solutions in the future.
